Recent cases in the media have brought the issue of ritual abuse to attention of the public. It is well worth being aware that already there are Africans living in the UK who are working to combat such abuse. One such organisation is AFRUCA - http://www.afruca.org
We also must not forget the issue of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM). Amazing work is being done by FORWARD - http://www.forwarduk.org.uk and also by RAINBO - http://www.rainbo.org
It is essential that we all educate ourselves about these issues and we are then best placed to do something about them. What was it Benjamin Franklin said:- “There is only one thing more expensive than education and that is ignorance.”
